Emerald Cars Plus is a family owned and run company with Tim Muller at the helm. Tim has led a varied career, and found his comfort zone in coal mining and car service.
After many years providing Secondary Support to mining companies via contract, he saw a glaring need to improve on personnel transport in underground environments. Tim's trade as a diesel fitter, and his experience in the underground environment was the perfect blend of skills to create his own company IUT to specialise in underground transport innovations.
The business quickly grew into a full mechanical workshop providing general mechanical services to all cars. Tim is supported in the administration of the company by his wife, Bev. The factory is located in Emerald, in Central Queensland, Australia. Emerald Cars Plus perform a variety of maintenance, service and repair work as well as converting the vehicles for underground use.

As an Authorised Car Inspection station, Emerald Cars Plus also performs safety inspections and issues Safety Certificates (RWC) on Light vehicles (up to 4.5 tonne) and trailers (up to 3.5 tonne). A safety certificate is specifically required when a registered light vehicle is offered for sale in Queensland and confirms that a vehicle has passed a minimum safety standard inspection.
